This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 5 - Widespread and significant flooding throughout Hobucken and northeast Pamlico County. Many roadways will be impassable with several feet of inundation, including NC-304 and NC-33.
- 4 - Numerous homes and businesses will see flooding throughout Hobucken and northeast Pamlico County. Portions of NC-304, NC-33 and Hobucken School Lane will be inundated and may be impassable.
- 2 - Minor flooding in Hobucken, flooding docks and yards adjacent to the Pamlico River, Jones Bay, Bills Creek and other tributaries. Flooding across portions of NC-304, NC-33, Busy Road, Lazy Lane and Lowland Road.
