Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 36 - The Aransas River escapes its channel into the right flood plain, and floods several hundred yards for each foot of rise. This causes massive lowland flooding of crop and pasture land. Hundreds of livestock are cut off and potentially drowned. The rating flattens very much as the flow goes into the prevailing, very flat flood plain.
  • 34 - The intersection 150 yards north of the bridge is threatened. The Aransas River escapes its channel into the right flood plain, causing massive lowland flooding of crop and pasture land. Hundreds of livestock are cut off and may drown.
  • 33 - The flow moves well onto the Corigan Road Bridge. Massive lowland flooding of crop and pasture land causes significant damages. Irrigation pumps and farm equipment flood from the headwaters in Poesta and Aransas Creeks to Copano Bay. Cattle are threatened and could drown.
