Flood Impacts 🅘

  • 29 - An unbelievable flood in progress. Water is at the outskirts of Lyons and Bloomfield. River cabins are totally destroyed. Most levees overtop. Transportation at a standstill in Greene County. U.S. 231 and SR 67 flooded. Portions of SR 57 north and south of Newberry washed out. Railroads washed away. Frantic sandbagging of the Elnora levee. Town of Plainville may flood depending on where the Big Bennington levee fails.
  • 28.49 - First floor flooding of some residences in and near Newberry.
  • 28 - Near record flood is in progress. River cabins completely flood. Water is nearing or over U.S. 231 and SR 57. Sandborn floods by river water. Flood waters enter a few houses and one grain bin in Newberry that is located on the riverside of railroad tracks. Water is at the outskirts of Lyons and Bloomfield.
