National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 23 - This would approach the flood of record from January 1959. Communities not protected by flood levees are inundated, especially the Little Texas neighborhood. Numerous homes in this area are flooded, as well as many roads leading in and out of the area.
- 22 - Several homes in Little Texas become flooded prompting possible evacuations. Water covering low-lying roadways becomes deeper with access to several homes in Little Texas cut off. Miller and Lynn Streets are flooded.
- 21 - Flooding in southern Newark intensifies with water covering low-lying roads. Access to some homes in Little Texas are cut off with flood water entering several homes at this level. Several roads are also flooded including Miller and Lynn Streets.
