National Water Model Hydrograph
Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 41 - During Mississippi River floods, house trailer park just south of the Loosahatchie River east of Raleigh Millington Road begins to flood. Residence area west of Sunrise Street is flooding. Duncan Road in Millington is being flooded. Big Creek is backed up to Raleigh Millington Road.
- 40 - During Mississippi River floods, Highway 51 is flooded. Police Academy is flooded. Charles W. Baker Airport begins to flood. Billon Road floods. Backwater from the Mississippi River goes east past Brunswick gage.
- 39 - The Canadian National Railroad is flooded all the way across the Loosahatchie River bottom. Houses are being flooded along Carrolton Avenue. Water is coming onto lots north of Creston Avenue. Water is nearhouses along Highway 51 west of the DuPont plant, Horton Road, the east end of Robertson Road, and Locke Road are flooding. Golf course east of Big Creek is mostly flooded. Fields and wetlands are being covered just west of the Highway 14 bridge. Backwater is up Big Creek to Raleight Millington Rd.
