Official NWS streamflow forecasts are produced by NWS hydrologic forecasters for river gauge locations using hydrologic models which are calibrated to that location. This process considers additional guidance and information, including local expertise and experience, to produce the best forecast possible. The NWM output provides supplemental guidance to NWS forecasters and should not be considered an official NWS river forecast.
Flood Impacts
- 8.6 - At 8.6 ft, major flooding will occur to the downstream areas of the Bear River below Woodruff Narrows Reservoir. Areas impacted will be mostly contained to agricultural areas...and wetlands adjacent to the river.
- 8.4 - At 8.4 ft, moderate flooding will affect the downstream areas of Bear River below Woodruff Narrows Reservoir. Flooding will be mostly confined to agricultural areas along the Bear River. Additionally, bridges and roads may be impacted all along the riverway.
- 8.19 - At 8.2 ft, minor flooding will affect downstream areas of the Bear River below Woodruff Narrows Reservoir. Areas impacted will be confined to mostly agricultural areas and some assorted low lying bridges and roads close to the Bear River.
